We have two services one is contemerary, the other is mainly hymns.
Kinda Old school.
Crazy.
The sense of community.
The tendency to seperate the two groups of people who go to different services.
Yes you may.

What's the worship music like? (Contemporary, hymns, long, fast, loud etc?) - Very diverse - I am the one who does it. Everything from two electric guitars (full on rock) to string quartet

What's the speaking like? (Old school Bible, culturally relevant, by video etc?) - Expositional Bible teaching - Very strong

What's the childcare like? - Very strong - tons of kids running everywhere

What's your favorite thing? - Great teaching of God's word

What would you change? - More home groups, better system to get people plugged in.

Can I wear jeans? - Certainly

Edgewood Believers Fellowship
Edgewood, NM
They're working on their website
Contemporary worship
Speaking is awesome. Culturally relevant.
I can't hear the children during the service, so the childcare must be good.
The people are the best thing about the church
The brass tree decoration is about the only thing I would change.
Edgewood is country...you should feel right at home in jeans

Name of church: The Uprising
City: Farmington
Website: Websites are so 2000 (wait, um).
What's the worship music like? Accoustic sessions mainly. It consists of whoever wants to brings guitars, jembes, drum boxes, basses, a voice, whatever. Its the epitome of lax-ness.
What's the speaking like? Whatever Shawn feels like talking about. He's the metro pastor with emo-whip hair, a goatee and works at a radio station. Hug him. :) Discussion mainly, with lots of rabbit trails.
What's the childcare like? Well, everybody in the group is starting to have kids. So the back bedroom becomes the smelly baby room.
What's your favorite thing? Shawn's wife "Livi" is from England... try and make her say "Hamburger". This is my favorite thing!
What would you change? We lay around a lot. I would like to take it to the next level. But its so nice to be real and not have to play church.
Can I wear jeans? Heck Yeah! Just be warned... if techno music starts playing... you might find other in the group taking theirs off and having a random pantless Van party. Heck Yes! (Keeping it PG ofcourse, kinda. lol).
A bunch of college kids, comming together, loving God and eachother.

What's the worship music like? (Contemporary, hymns, long, fast, loud etc?): Depends on the Sunday and who is playing...but I would categorize it as folk rock.
What's the speaking like? (Old school Bible, culturally relevant, by video etc?): Jesus centered culturally relevant Bible preaching.
What's the childcare like? It's good. Covers everyone from birth to 5th grade.
What's your favorite thing? It's full of dirty messy people who trust fully in Jesus. It also meets in the Lobo Theater...pretty cool.
What would you change? How people avoid getting connected. They seem to just want to be anonymous.
Can I wear jeans? The preacher does...so I would say yes.

-The music is a blend of traditional and contemporary, using a lot of music from the folk revival movement.
-Preaching is Biblically founded but not Biblically literal.
-The church bumper stickers say "Come Join the Family". That's exactly what I love about it--they are my family.
-What would I change? Maybe the fearfulness to reach out.
-You can wear jeans.
