This is an awesome Church, everyone come!

Name:
McLean Bible Church
City:
Washington D.C./McLean, Virginia
Website:
http://www.mcleanbible.org
Worship:
We have a semi-traditional service and also several contemporary services where the worship is not overly long, but upbeat, passionate, and modern.
Speaking:
The teaching at McLean tends towards trying to teach theology in a practical, daily life context. There's always a So What point to each message.
Childcare:
There is an awesome Child-care program, with nursery, Sunday schools, camps, teenage resources, ect. The kids will love coming to church, I promise.
What I love:
I am involved with Frontline Evening services for young adults as well as the Gathering, which is a college campus outreach. I would do anything for these two ministries as they have blessed my life in incredible ways. The people that attend this church are Christ-centered and open. I feel challenged and encouraged, going to church is, no lie, the highlight of my week.
What I don't love:
I wish I didn't have to drive through D.C. traffic to get there! Crazy drivers!
Jeans?
You can wear whatever you want. I mean my best friend wears a new rancid t-shirt every week (but she is a bit well..)

What's the childcare like?: don't know

Name: National Community Church
City: Washington, D.C.
Website: www.theaterchurch.com
Worship: about 20 min of contemporary music
Speaking: The teaching tends to be more seeker-friendly, but without watering down the message; always has a take-home point
Childcare: We have several locations. At our coffeeshop, which as services on Sat eve, we have a infant to 2 nursery; at our movie theater locations, we have Sunday school classes for older kids; in general, our family program is still in the development stages as we are a very young congregation.
What I love: the informality and and the abundance of small groups. We have a small group for every interest. We even have a group for runners.
What I don't love: that one of the pastors doesn't speak more often.
Can I wear jeans: All the pastors do. The question should be, can I wear slacks? Only if you really want to stand out.

Name of church: Capitol Hill Baptist Church

Website: capitolhillbaptist.org
What's the worship music like? Hymns and choruses
What's the speaking like? Expository preaching
What's the childcare like? There is nursery for 0-4 and "Praise Factory" for Kindergarten through 4th grade, so the kids are doing something productive (though fun) with the time.
What's your favorite thing? Hearing the regular preaching of God's word without fluff.
What would you change? The "dress code"
Can I wear jeans? You "can" but since it's on Capitol Hill most people don't. Most people are in business casual.

Name of church: Chinese Community Church
City: Washington DC
Website: http://www.cccdc.com/
What's the worship music like? (Contemporary, hymns, long, fast, loud etc?): Mix of a few contemporary songs and hymns.
What's the speaking like? (Old school Bible, culturally relevant, by video etc?): Traditional
What's the childcare like?: We have a nursery, sunday schools. It's a relatively small church so no major and flashy programs. We do have a lot of kids from Chinatown that come without their parents.
What's your favorite thing?: The people! Feels like a family, since it's a smaller church you can get to know kids, adults, grandparents...many will openly share about their faith and you can really learn from their life examples.
What would you change?: More young people for fellowship and freindship. Wish getting together was more convenient and happened more often.
Can I wear jeans?: I do sometimes - other people do all the time, some of the "older" adults do not wear jeans.
